If you would like, you can also arrange weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meetings with your mentor.

This semester, all MASP students will need to acquire a total of 5 community events to fulfill their participation requirements.

- Attend 2 all-community events (mandatory)

Make-Up attendance for missing all-community events can be obtained by doing either option below:

  • Organizing or leading a MASP student - event
  • Attending 2 more community events
  • You can also arrange other creative ideas or flexible options with your mentor

Community Event and Activity Schedule

  • Students can access the community event  schedule on the MASP Canvas calendar
  • Students will also receive updates on activities and events via the newsletter and Slack

All MASP students need to attend two required all-community events each semester.

Fall:

  • Welcome Back Event
  • End of Semester Celebration

Spring:

  • Welcome Back Event
  • Graduation Ceremony

Please keep in mind that all-community events do not count toward your community participation points.

Visit the MASP office 3 times per week.

All MASP students are required to take a series of MASP courses, generally in their first and second years of joining MASP. Please keep in mind that all MASP classes are worth one credit each. If you need to but haven't signed up yet, make sure to register by emailing us at masp@colorado.edu. Our course schedule can be accessed by following the provided link.

If you are unable to take a MASP class this semester, please meet with your mentor to complete your Class Exemption form. The form can be found on Canvas. Once you get you get your mentor signature, please send us the form at masp@colorado.edu. Please complete this form by the second week of the semester.

MASP will continue to utilize Slack to facilitate communication between MASP students, faculty and staff. On Slack, you will receive community event reminders, information on opportunities/resources and find more ways to get involved with the MASP community. Please make sure to download the slack app (you can do so both on your phone and/or on your computer) and have your notifications turned ON to make sure you are receiving our most recent updates.

If you haven't already, please make sure to join MASP's canvas (https://canvas.colorado.edu/) page to check your community participation points, community events calendar, announcements and more.

Additional Resources

  • MASP Newsletter
  • MASP Social Media

The MASP Newsletter shares news/updates and contains information on a variety of resources, opportunities, and more. The weekly issues are sent to your @colorado.edu email address (generally on Monday afternoons).

Current MASP students or affiliates can submit a form to have their materials (they wish to share with other MASP students) featured in our newsletter.

  • Newsletter Form: For any events, resources, opportunities, petitions, etc. you want to share
  • Bulletin Board Form: For any student clubs/organizations you wish to promote

MASP currently has two social media accounts:

  • @MASP_CUBoulder (Instagram & Facebook)
  • @MASP_Buffs (Instagram & Twitter)

@MASP_CUBoulder is a renovated account designed to showcase the overarching highlights of our program and to cater toward the broader audience including alumni, affiliates and current/prospective students.

@MASP_Buffs is designed to serve as an internal news feed for current MASP students. It is run by MASP students and will be sharing any updates, resources and student-led programming to maintain close communication as a community even though we may be physically apart. We highly encourage you to submit your works of petitions, events, resources and more (by filling out this form) so that @MASP_buffs can be a space where student voices can be highlighted.
