Anat Leshnick

Anat Leshnick (PhD MediaSt’24) is a postdoctoral fellow at the Information Society Project at Yale Law School. She studies the role of visual communication in creating and shaping public discourses on social media. A recipient of the 2025 Best Dissertation Award in Visual Communication and the 2018 Top Paper Award in Intercultural Communication from the International Communication Association, Leshnick’s research has been published in the International Journal of Communication; Media, Culture & Society; and New Media & Society. She holds a PhD in media studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, an MA in communication from the University of Haifa and a BA in communication from Sapir College.
