Julian Vigil
- (he/him)
- Graduate Student 2018-2023
Research
Julian is interested in the synthesis and structural characterization of halide perovskite semiconductors. In particular, he uses X-ray scattering and spectroscopy and solid-state electrochemistry methods to investigate the defect chemistry and photo-excited structural distortions in the perovskites.
Education
M.Phil. Chemistry, University of Cambridge (2018)
B.S. Chemical Engineering, University of New Mexico (2017)
Fun Facts
When not in lab, Julian is an avid cyclist! He does not enjoy eating raw red onions. Julian enjoys watching the Wire, listening to John Mayer, and if you encounter him in a museum he might be enjoying work by Ellsworth Kelly.
