Research

I am studying the solvation structure of sodium-ion battery liquid electrolytes using various X-ray scattering techniques. Co-advised with Mike Toney and Chunmei Ban, I am using characterization techniques to better understand how solvation structure affects electrolyte properties and to inform electrolyte design guidelines for improved battery performance.

Education

M.S. Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2024)

B.S. Chemical Engineering, Oregon State University (2022)

Fun Facts

I enjoy cooking (recently interested in fermentation), hiking, climbing, and any kind of involvement with music! I have historically played tuba and piano and am currently singing in CU's Festival Chorus.
