Ola folx! I'm Dustin—one of the JoJo Speaking Lab coaches. I'm a 3rd year PhD candidate in the Communication department, whose focus is on Rhetoric & Culture. I teach classes ranging from Public Speaking to the Rhetoric of Social Movements. I enjoy working with students and helping guide them through their journey in school, especially witnessing moments of growth as students begin to conquer their goals. When it comes to public speaking, I understand how nerve-racking it can be. Luckily, I have a lot of experience with public speaking, as I have worked for a global retail store as a Visual Manager and Store Visual Lead, was part of a social justice performance troupe, and I currently teach on campus. I believe we all have a voice and by engaging with different parts of the public speaking process, we are able to find confidence in ourselves. I look forward to helping you discover and continue to develop your public speaking skills at the JoJo Speaking Lab.
