Psychology and Neuroscience

Scott earned his BA in Psychology from CU in 2019. He's primarily interested in contributing evolutionary explanations to various psychiatric disorders under the new RDoC initiative, which seeks to re-classify disorders in more biologically valid and value-free ways. For example, in PTSD, MDD, or autism spectrum disorders, among others, we presently categorize psychological distress as pathological, while most often ignoring the functional adaptations likely associated with those conditions from an evolutionary lens. His other interests include the network theory approach to disorders and metascience. He plans to eventually earn a doctorate in Clinical Science.
