Typhoon 5 imager

Typhoon 5

Please acknowledge SIP and the NIH funding (1S10OD034218-01) in publications and presentations ( posters, talks) if you use the Typhoon 5.

The Typhoon 5 is a multi-mode, high-sensitivity imaging platform that produces digital images of radioactive, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent samples. It has blue (488 nm), green (532 nm), red (635 nm), near IR (685nm) and far IR (785nm) excitation wavelengths and a wide choice of emission filters (IP,  P 390BP, Cy2 525BP20, Cy3 570BP20, Cy5 670BP30, IRshort 720BP20, IRlong 825BP30, Cy2 LPB515, Cy3 LPG550, Cy5 LPR660) enable imaging of an extensive variety of fluorophores. Automated multi-colour fluorescence scanning allows multiplexing of multiple targets in the same sample. It can be used to scan phospho storage screens, gel sandwiches, agarose and polyacrylamide gels, membranes, microplates and even microarrays.

In addition, we have ImageQuant TL, an easy-to-use general image analysis software for data evaluation. It offers 4 different analysis modes for a) 1-D electrophoresis gels, b) dot blots, microplates, and basic arrays, c) colony counting and measurement of 2-D spots and d) a toolbox to analyze gels with user-defined objects.

LAS 4000 Imager

LAS 4000

The LAS 4000 is a sensitive imager for chemiluminescence, fluorescence and white light applications. It can be used to capture high sensitivity images of agarose and polyacrylamide gels, western blot membranes and agar plates. It has an advanced Fujifilm™ CCD camera and a bright, wide-aperture FUJINON™ F0.85 lens providing exceptional sensitivity for chemiluminescence. It can capture quantitative images at a resolution of up to 6.3 Megapixels. Responses are highly linear and enable precise quantitation across four orders of magnitude.

In addition we have ImageQuant TL, an easy-to-use general image analysis software for data evaluation. It offers 4 different analyses modes for a) 1-D electrophoresis gels, b) dot blots, microplates, and basic arrays, c) colony counting and measurement of 2-D spots and d) a toolbox to analyze gels with user-defined objects

AlphaImager Mini

AlphaImager Mini

The AlphaImager Mini gel documentation system provides easy to use, high-performance imaging for a range of UV and colorimetric applications. It has a UV transiluminater with two wave lenghts (302 and 365nm) and two intesity settings. The camera is a 1.4 Megapixel camera. We have an orange filter for EthBr imaging. It has a white light conversion screen that can be used for trans white light ilumination. The Alpha Imager Mini s mainly used for imaging of DNA and protein gels.
