Aaron completed his undergraduate education at Colorado State University where he investigated the role of Toll-like receptors in osteoarthritis progression following joint injury in the laboratory of Dr. Kelly Santangelo. He completed his PhD in the lab of Dr. Scott Olejniczak at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center where he focused on understanding how RNA biogenesis is regulated by T cell activation in support of anti-tumor immune responses before joining the Whiteley lab as a postdoc in September 2021. When not in the lab Aaron enjoys spending time outside playing sports, snowboarding, and watching soccer.
