Janet Casagrand was invited to present her educational research at the 2018 Experimental Biology conference in San Diego, California. The title of her talk was "Fostering Higher-Order Cognitive Skills in the Teaching and Learning of Physiology" in a symposium sponsored by the Teaching of Physiology Section of the American Physiological Society. Experimental Biology is the annual meeting of 5 scientific societies, including the American Physiological Society, and comprised of more than 14,000 scientists internationally.
