The Colorado Diversity Initiatives works collaboratively with departments to recruit and retain underrepresented STEM PhD students. In addition, we offer a variety of ways for faculty to interact with, mentor and support STEM students.
- SMART allows faculty to host high achieving undergraduate interns through a competitive 10-week summer research internship program.
- The Colorado Advantage fall preview weekend brings prospective STEM PhD students to campus to meet faculty and tour research facilities.
- The Diversity Fellowship program offers small fellowships to admitted underserved STEM PhD students as an additional incentive to matriculate at CU Boulder; fellowships are awarded via departmental nominations.
