Greg Young Gives Expert Opinion on the Continued Threat of ISIS

CU Boulder International Affairs and Political Science faculty, Gregory Young, was recently interviewed by NBC's 9 News to provide expertise on the future of Syria and ISIS now that Abu Bakr al Baghdadi is confirmed deceased. In the interview, Young weighed in on how despite the leader being dead, the ideology of its leader and ISIS has survived, and the fight against ISIS will continue to be a multi-generational fight. 

"The killing of a leader is a significant event, but just like Al- Qaeda didn't go away with the killing of Osama bin Laden, you can't bomb or kill an ideology. It's going to hang around," says Young.
