The best weekend of the year is just around the corner – what’s on your agenda?
The CU Boulder Alumni Association has a roster of amazing events lined up for Buffs of all ages to get the most out of being back on the hill.

Thursday, Sept. 19
Arrive in town: Whether you’re from the Front Range or out of town, there are many wonderful places to stay and discover.
5:45–9 p.m.: Attend the Alumni Awards Ceremony and Dinner
Come out to celebrate CU’s best and brightest at an evening full of inspiring stories and incredible accomplishments. Enjoy appetizers, dinner, desserts and a cash bar. You won’t want to miss hearing about the inspiring things these Buffs are up to.
Friday, Sept. 20

Dust off your boots and take a hike! Get outside and check out the iconic Flatirons at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Head up to Chautauqua Park and breathe in that fresh mountain air.
Need a hike suggestion?
- Easy: Bluebell Mesa Loop — this 1.5-mile loop covers 439 feet of elevation gain and offers sweeping views of the gorgeous Flatirons.
- Medium: Flatirons Loop — this 2.4-mile loop climbs about 700 feet in elevation and takes you to the bottom of the iconic Second Flatiron.
- Difficult: Royal Arch Trail — this 3.3-mile out-and-back trail climbs 1,404 feet to an incredible naturally occurring stone arch with fabulous views of Boulder below.

Here for a reunion?The Classes of 1974, 1984 and Golden Anniversary Club celebrate their 40th, 50th and beyond reunions this year during Homecoming weekend!
8:15 a.m.–1 p.m.: Kick off the day on campus and reunite with classmates. The celebration includes a campus tour, recognition ceremony and lunch at everyone’s favorite spot, The Sink. We recommend the classic Sink Burger. ;)
3–6 p.m.: Grab a drink at Buffs on Tap
Spend your afternoon relaxing in the Koenig Alumni Center backyard, sampling fine brews and wines crafted by fellow CU Boulder alumni! Ticket purchases include beer and wine tasting, food, giveaways and a commemorative pint glass. Be sure to register for Buffs on Tap, space is limited!
7–8 p.m.: Celebrate Black and Gold style at the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally

Head down to Pearl Street for an exciting parade and pep rally celebrating CU football with the marching band, cheerleaders and Chip in the heart of Boulder! Come out to see the creative walking floats by our current student organizations and Greek life.
8–10:30 p.m.: Connect at Buffs Bond Social
After the Stampede Parade, drop by Avanti F&B on Pearl Street to meet and connect with fellow Buffs, whether they’re current students or proud alums, at a fun social event. First 40 alumni to register on-site receive a free drink ticket (21+ with valid ID).
Saturday, Sept. 21
Get psyched for game day!
2.5 hours before kickoff: Reconnect with fellow CU folks before the big game at the Homecoming Reunions Tailgate.
Homecoming only happens once a year, and there’s no better place to be with fellow Buff fans! The Koenig Alumni Center will have music, photo ops, giveaways and more. Register for the tailgate here!

Kickoff time TBD: Cheer on the Buffs vs Baylor at Folsom Field
The moment we’ve all been waiting for! The Colorado Buffaloes take on the Baylor Bears at the Homecoming football game. Let’s go, Buffs!
Sunday, Sept. 22
Before you leave town: Grab Brunch at a Buff-owned business
Across Boulder, you can find Buff-owned businesses to support during Homecoming weekend. Coffee shops, restaurants, breweries, hotels and more await you. Join the Forever Buffs Network to access the full list and claim alumni discounts from participating businesses.
