Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. was founded on April 9, 1990, at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. We are the proud n-destructible Nu Gamma chapter and we were established at the University of Colorado Boulder on July 20, 2006. We take pride in empowering our communities through our five principles: academics, community service, cultural awareness, social interaction and morals and ethics. Every year, we raise money for our book scholarship for incoming women of color through our annual event, Mr. Majestic. Additionally, we host fundraisers in order to raise money that goes towards our philanthropy, breast cancer awareness. Our sisterhood is proud to volunteer countless hours for community service, such as Casa de Esperanza, YWCA and CU’s move-in day, among many others.
Our sisters are committed to living through our principles every day and establishing a support system for women and underrepresented communities on our campus, our surrounding areas and the world.
