Individual chapters oversee setting GPA requirements. CUIFC expects all chapters to have a cumulative 2.5 GPA minimum.

In the fall, during primary recruitment, you must sign up for recruitment and pay the fee in order to receive a bid. In the spring, recruitment is free with no sign-up.

Any male or male-identifying student can participate in fraternity recruitment. Most fraternities require students to be in good academic standing. Some may have additional eligibility requirements, such as a minimum GPA.

Students who miss formal recruitment can reach out to fraternities directly to ask about 365 recruitment or informal recruitment opportunities.

Events vary by fraternity but generally include:

  • Open houses (meet the members)
  • Social events (BBQs, game nights, sports)
  • Philanthropy events (volunteer activities)
  • Interview-style meetings (for some chapters)

Yes, students may receive bids from multiple fraternities but can only accept one.

Not receiving a bid is not the end of the road. Students can:

  • Participate again in the next recruitment cycle
  • Stay involved with fraternity life through events and networking

Yes, students can decline a bid and either go through recruitment again later or explore other options.
