Tim Farnham is VP Subsurface at Aurivos LLC, a privately held company with a presence throughout the energy ecosystem focused on oil and gas exploration and development, digital solutions for carbon credits, and renewable gasoline.  Tim received his MSc. in Geological Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001 and has undergraduate degrees in Geology and History from Williams College, Williamstown, MA.  Prior to joining Aurivos, Tim has worked at a variety of companies in the energy sector, including EOG, Shell, and BG Group, where he focused on conventional and unconventional exploration and development projects around the globe.  Tim is passionate about sharing the understanding of our planet's history that geology provides, helping students manage their educational experience in ways that allows them to focus on learning, and in helping people realize their potential.  He is also on the board of the Rocky Mountain Section of the Society for Sedimentary Geology.  As a resident of Houston, TX he spends his spare time daydreaming of landscapes without people and cycling with his wife on gravel roads away from the city.
