Research
Understanding how phosphorus behaved on the early Earth is critical to uncovering the origins of life. I study how phosphorus compounds are mobilized and transformed during hydration and alteration of ultramafic rock. I combine spectroscopic methods with lab experiments to determine where in the rock and in what forms phosphorus is hosted.
