Connor’s interests include hydrogeology and environmental geochemistry, specifically the response of natural systems to human-induced changes such as mining and water-resource utilization. Connor has worked as an on-site mapping and ore-control geologist at an operational molybdenum mine (the Climax Mine), a tour guide in a National Monument (Oregon Caves), as a consulting hydrogeologist, for a state mining regulatory program, and currently for the USGS.
