Bike sharing, provided by B-cycle, entails a large fleet of ready to ride bicycles located at 40 stations across Boulder, with 10 stations on or around Campus. In contrast to bike rentals, each ride is kept short, and B-cycles are returned to any B-cycle station when not in use rather than being kept and locked up. B-cycles are available when you need them and gone when you don’t, and they are a perfect complement to your feet, your car, your bus ride, and even your personal bicycle!
In Boulder, four different pass types are available to meet riders’ various needs. Depending on their pass type, riders are granted either 30 or 60 minute free trip periods, or a flat rate every 30 minutes.
CU Boulder students can receive a reduced rate annual “Republic” Pass for just $40*, and are eligible for a free annual pass through the CU Environmental Center if they complete B-cycle’s survey. Click here to take the eligibility survey and receive your promo code.
*Students: Use code STUDENT (case-sensitive) with your colorado.edu email address when signing up for a $40 Republic Rider pass.
