Communication

Jenna is an unconventional environmental educator passionate about equitable and sustainable access to nature for all people. Military service brought Jenna to Colorado Springs where she was a cyber operator for the Air Force. While in Colorado Springs she earned her bachelors in Geography and Environmental Studies from University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She has volunteered for multiple nonprofits but most recently worked with 350 Colorado, an environmental non profit, where she was the Volunteer Coordinator and Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion Director Assistant. Her main focus was community organizing to close of one of the last urban coal plants in the nation, the Drake Coal plant, which burnt its last plumes of toxic smoke Sept 1, 2021. Now as the Environmental Center's new Digital Engagement Coordinator, she is excited to bring more students into sustainability and social justice conversations on campus. In her free-time, Jenna can be found hiking with her 11 year old border collie Bandit, climbing rocks, cooking delicious vegan food, organizing community members for a just and sustainable future or relaxing at home painting the night away.
