End-of-Season Opportunities with CU Farm and Garden Club

Celebrate the Fall Harvest with CU Farm and Garden Club!

  • The CU Farm and Garden Club holds weekly workdays at the SEEC Garden and the Table Mesa Community Garden.

  • Signup for a volunteer shift with Community Fruit Rescue ~ The Club will continue leading a few more group harvests with them! CFR is an amazing organization and they need all the help they can get harvesting fruit in the Boulder and Longmont Areas.

  • Haystack Farm Field Day Friday (10/18) (11:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.)  Register Here. Join Mad Agriculture’s Director of Stewardship, Clark Harshbarger, as he takes farmers through a geologic history of the Left Hand Valley and Haystack Mountain. To highlight the day's events, we will spend time identifying and describing inherent and dynamic soil properties, such as the soil’s horizons, aggregates, organic matter content and porosity in a soil pit at Haystack Farm. Our observations will be set in the context of Haystack’s transition to organic agriculture, best uses for what enterprises the land can offer the farm, and what the farmer can do to give back to the land.
