The system-wide program that encourages students from all CU campuses to create sustainable innovations. If you, or someone you know has an idea that could improve environmental quality, economic and resource efficiency, and/or social equity on campus, than this is the challenge for you! You can participate in the challenge as an individual, or as a team. Through this competition you could see your innovation and idea come together, and have an opportunity to win a number of cash prizes. The winning proposal wins $1500, with second place receiving $500, and third place $250. Use the link below to sign up for the 2023 competition.
Proposals will be evaluated on feasibility and innovation, with special attention to meeting CU’s carbon reduction goals, which include a 50% reduction by 2030 through the use of large scale renewables and an 80% reduction by 2050 using innovative technologies.
Participates will need to create a summary, pitch deck, and presentation that details their respective project. The CU-Boulder President's Sustainable Solutions Challenge competition will be held on April 12th. The top five teams will present their pitches and be evaluated by a panel of judges.
