Want to know more about how to get around Boulder? As a CU student, staff, or faculty member there are many sustainable options available to you!
Using the Bus:
The Ecenter strives to make the RTD bus an easily accessible resource to students, staff, and faculty. By using the bus, you can reduce your carbon footprint and save money on expenses owning a car would incur. Additionally, the RTD bus system makes it easy to get to the Denver airport! Use the bus and need to know when it will arrive at your stop? Download the Transit App on Google Play or Apple! For more information about buses for students, visit this website!
Riding a Bike:
Biking is another great sustainable transportation option! Don’t have a bike? Get one used from the Annual Bike Fest (more information to come!) or from the The Graduate and Family Housing Item Exchange At CU Boulder Facebook group. Concerned about maintaining your bike? No worries - the Bike Stations on campus offer FREE repairs! Not interested in owning a bike? Use the BCycle! Each ride under 60 minutes is FREE!
CU is the recipient of the Gold Bicycle Friendly University award!
Walking Around Town:
Boulder is a Gold Level Walk Friendly City with nearly 15% of commuters walking to work. Walking is an excellent green way of traveling and a great form of exercise! Planning on running an errand, try walking!
When you walk you can find tiny treasures you wouldn’t see otherwise, such as street art!
Car Sharing options help reduce carbon emissions and are a great alternative to owning your own car!
Using Colorado CarShare? Students get a special rate. Just apply the promo code CUECENTER and use your colorado.edu email for a waived registration fee ($25 value) + $20 in eGo CarShare driving credit.
