Ling Xin is a science reporter with the South China Morning Post. Based in Ohio, she covers physics, astronomy, space, and U.S.-China science policy. Her work has also appeared in Science, Nature, Scientific American, MIT Technology Review, and other publications.
Her reporting has taken her to telescopes on the Tibetan Plateau, satellite launches in the Gobi Desert, Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, and a 50-year-old particle collider in southeast Ohio.
She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Ohio University and was a visiting journalist at Science magazine. She serves on the National Association of Science Writers’ Peggy Girshman Idea Grants Committee.
