When the CU Boulder Division of Continuing Education began sponsoring the Conference on World Affairs (CWA), the annual event hosted over 30,000 people on campus with major sessions livestreamed to audiences in Boulder and beyond. Now, for the second year in a row, there are no in-person CWA events and all CWA sessions are livestreamed with speakers joining remotely from locations across the globe due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As we celebrate the fifth consecutive year of the partnership, CWA is grateful to the Division of Continuing Education for their continued support of the conference's efforts to share CWA's important conversations on today's pressing issues with a worldwide audience.
This year's CWA week (April 5-11) will livestream 29 sessions open to all, via the CWA website: www.colorado.edu/cwa. Livestreaming services are provided by the CU Boulder OIT department and the Conference on World Affairs.
Throughout its history the CU Boulder Division of Continuing Education has utilized innovative technologies to extend educational opportunities to students beyond the CU Boulder campus.
"Continuing Education is proud to continue it's sponsorship of livestream capabilities at the Conference on World Affairs for the fifth year in a row. Since the Division’s founding over 100 years ago, our mission has been to bring CU Boulder’s faculty, courses, and research to a larger audience. The last year has only reinforced the need for us to develop creative ways of connecting and exchanging ideas. I can’t think of a better way to do that than supporting the CWA," said Ted Rockwell, Director of Marketing and Communications, Division of Continuing Education.
