The nation’s inaugural youth poet laureate, a New York Times food writer and a representative of Cirque du Soleil are among the panelists slated to appear at the University of Colorado’s annual Conference on World Affairs this year.
CU on Monday announced the 114 speakers and performers scheduled for the 70th edition of the free, five-day haven for culture, education and rousing conversations among an array of voices from across the globe.
This year’s panelists include Amanda Gorman, inaugural youth poet laureate of the United States; Danielle Feinberg, director of photography for Pixar Animation Studios; Delania Garcia, director of International Projects, Research and Development for Migrant Clinicians Network; Ismail Elfath, international soccer referee for the Fédération Internationale de Football Association; and Joe Cirincione, MSNBC nuclear security analyst.
The full list of participants can be found on CU’s website, though the schedule of events has not yet been made public.
The speakers hail from 25 countries with nearly one-third coming from outside the United States, CU said. The line-up is close to a 50/50 balance of men and women.
The always-anticipated festivities will take place on CU’s campus April 9 through 13.
