Research Goal: Create scholarship, exhibitions and programming by identifying and leveraging collection strengths and the research and creative work of faculty, students and staff at CU Boulder. 

  • Objective: Commit to an active research agenda that encourages museum-based scholarship.

    • Strategy 1: Encourage scholarship on exhibitions, programs, and other museum activities in the form of research presentations and peer-reviewed publications.

    • Strategy 2: Ensure that collections presented online are accompanied by curatorial research.

  • Objective: Originate exhibitions and programs that further interdisciplinary knowledge.  

    • Strategy 1: Engage faculty, staff and students in targeted and defined themes that lead to interdisciplinary exhibits, programs and associated scholarship.

    • Strategy 2: Launch a faculty fellowship. 

  • Objective: Create a Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAM) professional working group at CU.  
    • Strategy 1: Develop a community of practice for CU GLAM professionals, building off of the successful CU-CMG group.
