Richard Rokos became head coach of the ski team almost 22 years ago, making him the “dean” of current Buff head coaches. The Czech native went into the 2012 season having led CU to six national titles.
Mark Wetmore has been head coach of the CU cross country and track & field teams since 1995, winning five national cross country championships — three men’s and two women’s.
Tad Boyle completed his first season as head coach of the CU men’s basketball team with a record 24 wins and a trip to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) semifinals.
In 1951 professor Dick Jessor arrived in Boulder expecting to “slum for awhile before moving to civilization on either the West or East Coast.” Instead he founded the university’s Institute of Behavioral Science and stayed for six decades.
At age 24, CU student Anthony Hull has already hosted several television and online programs, including for Fox Sports Net. He is an actor who produced a documentary about the CU student experience last spring.
