As the semester closes and students get ready for winter break, temperatures in Boulder are cooling down.

It's halfway through the fall semester, and the Buffs had their first full pads practice Oct. 12.

After spending the summer updating campus for the pandemic, CU Boulder officially welcomed students for the fall semester Aug. 24.

It wouldn't be summertime in Boulder without a cloudless blue sky and a high above 90.

You don't need this year's solstice — Saturday, June 20 — to tell that summer has arrived in Boulder. With flowers blooming, the average temperature has been a warm 89 degrees over the past two weeks.

The student section poured into the stands after an overtime win against rival Nebraska, Saturday, Sept. 7. The Buffs were down 17-0 at halftime but managed to scored 24 points in the fourth quarter, putting the game into overtime.

Monday, Aug. 26 marked the first day of school for CU students, and the opening of the university's new Aerospace Engineering Sciences Building.
