Melissa Hoffman Stockwell

U.S. paratriathlete Melissa Hoffman Stockwell (Comm’02) won a gold medal, helping the Americans win the overall medal count at the ITU Paratriathlon World Championship in Auckland, New Zealand. The paratriathlon was a 300-meter swim, 20K bike and a 5K run which Melissa finished with a time of 1:22:14. This was her third consecutive world title. Melissa lives in Chicago. She lost part of her leg while serving in Iraq in 2004.
