
Tanya Mares Kelly-Bowry
Tanya Mares Kelly-Bowry (IntlAf’93) received one of CU Boulder’s 2024 George Norlin Awards and was recently granted the title of vice president emerita by CU’s Board of Regents. Having led CU’s state and federal government relations efforts for more than 22 years, Kelly-Bowry was the youngest and first Hispanic woman to become a vice president in the university’s history. She helped secure nearly $1 billion in state and federal funding during her tenure, played an integral role in the creation of the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, and advanced diversity and inclusion. Kelly-Bowry serves as president and owner of Policy Matters, a Denver-based advocacy firm, and is a regional council member of El Pomar Foundation.
