Jake Perez

Engineer Jake Perez (ElEngr’19; MS’20) and his research and development team at Advanced Thermovoltaic Systems (ATS) were awarded the distinguished Earthshot “Fix Our Climate” prize for their transformative efforts against climate change. The Earthshot Prize, a global award launched by Prince William of the United Kingdom in 2020, seeks to enhance pioneering solutions to environmental challenges. The winner was chosen from more than 5,300 nominations across 141 countries and honors ATS’s focus on converting industrial waste heat into sustainable electricity.
