Eddy Connors, Luke Siegert

Through their Colorado-based startup, Goodie Bag, Eddy Connors (Bus’21) and Luke Siegert (Film’22) are tackling food waste by offering surplus food from local businesses at a significant discount. First launched in Boulder in 2023, their company has expanded to a handful of cities and just began operating in Charleston, South Carolina, in September. Goodie Bag is a free mobile application in which users select their market, peruse a list of local participating shops, and purchase a discounted goodie bag on a first-come, first-served basis. Connors and Siegert, who were college roommates at CU Boulder, came up with the idea during the Silicon Flatirons Startup Summer Program, a ten-week entrepreneurial course at CU.
