Carmen Diana Deere

Carmen Diana Deere (Intl Af ’67), a retired distinguished professor emerita of Latin American studies and food and resource economics at the University of Florida, released her latest book, First-Wave Feminism and Women’s Civil and Political Rights in South America. The text examines how women gained stronger property rights and suffrage in seven South American countries during the first half of the twentieth century.
