Amanda Kass

The Center for Tax and Budget Accountability named Amanda Kass (MGeog’11) research and policy specialist for pensions and local government where she heads the center’s Illinois Retirement Security Initiative. The Chicago-based nonprofit organization aims to ensure that tax, spending and economic policies are fair for everyone. While at CU, Amanda’s master’s thesis focused on post-earthquake reconstruction efforts in Haiti, underscoring the importance of fiscal policies in ensuring the public sector has the capacity to deliver services.
