At the beginning of the lockout-shortened pro season, three former Buffs were on NBA regular-season rosters —Chauncey Billups (Soc ex’99) of the Los Angeles Clippers and ex-CU teammates Alec Burks (A&S ex’11) of the Utah Jazz and Cory Higgins (A&S’11) of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Billups was picked up by the Clippers after being waived by the New York Knicks. Burks was selected by the Jazz in the NBA draft lottery, and Higgins was claimed off waivers by the Bobcats. Higgins’ father, Rod, is Charlotte’s president of basketball operations.

When was the last time three former CU players were on NBA regular-season rosters at the same time, and who were the players involved?

In the 1992-93 season Matt Bullard (A&S ex’90), Jay Humphries (A&S’84) and Alex Stivrins (Psych’85) played in the NBA.
