We support students at every stage of their pre-health journey, whether they are changing careers, returning to a longstanding goal or resuming plans interrupted by life’s complexities. Our program offers rigorous coursework and comprehensive pre-health advising within a warm, supportive community.
The Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions Program at CU Boulder is a highly selective program designed for career changers who need to take all of the science prerequisites needed to apply to professional school. We welcome students preparing to transition to a career in medicine (MD and DO), dentistry, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, optometry, pharmacy, and anesthesiologist’s assistant programs.
We offer guidance and support from Pre-Health Advisors through the professional school application process.
- Our cohort students have a 96% acceptance rate to professional school since 2017.
- Our students’ MCAT, DAT, and OAT scores regularly fall in the 90-99th percentile range.

Who we serve
Our students come from a wide range of academic, professional and personal backgrounds. They are preparing for careers as physicians, dentists, physician assistants, physical therapists, optometrists, veterinarians, anesthesiologist assistants and other healthcare clinicians. Since 2017, students from our cohort program have achieved a 95% professional school acceptance rate.
