I served in the Office of Faculty Affairs at CU Boulder from 2011 to 2020. At heart I’m an analyst obsessed with finding new ways of working adaptively with emotions. For more than 5 years I have taught workshops on working with shame, primarily to fellow adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and the LGBTQ community, but also for anyone suffering from feeling “not good enough.” As an RYT-200, I teach Emotion Yoga, a hybrid class which combines movement with guided journaling, and co-teach Chant for Emotional Wellbeing. My publications include The Little Book of Shame and an audio program "Trauma-Informed Meditation Exercises." Before coming to CU I served as managing editor for a major multimedia publisher of meditation, alternative health, and spirituality titles. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and immersing myself in the emotional experience of opera.
