Dissertation Proposal Writing Seminar

Dissertation Proposal and Dissertation Writing Workshop

Sponsored by the Institute of Behavioral Science
Led by Research Professor Sarah Goodrum
Spring 2026

This interdisciplinary workshop seeks to help graduate students at the dissertation proposal and dissertation stage improve the efficiency, consistency, and clarity of their writing.  The course bridges coursework and independent research while encouraging students to develop their own scholarly voice. In Spring 2026, the workshop will offer practical strategies for: (1) writing and revising dissertation proposals and dissertations and (2) reviewing others’ work, such as journal articles, book chapters, and grant proposals.  The workshop is open to graduate students from all disciplines and led by Research Professor Sarah Goodrum.  Lunch is provided.  The workshop will meet every other Tuesday, starting January 27th from 11am to 12pm (see dates below) in the Institute of Behavioral Science (Room 155B).
