On October 29 and 30, Bill Oakley and Robynn Balduf attended the Qt World Summit 2018 conference in Boston, MA. Keynote speeches by Lars Knoll, CTO of The Qt Company and Jared Spool of Centre/UIE highlighted the growth and future direction of Qt technology as well as best practices for application development. Sessions included technical topics such as WebAssembly, internationalization, open source tools, and automated testing as well as more-general presentations of UI design and project management techniques. A full day course presented by Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS) provided a hands-on application development experience using QtQuick/QML, Qt's new UI framework for rapid-application development.
