Louise Vazquez

I am currently working on receiving a degree in Political Science and Media and Communications

I am originally from Panama, and I am currently a Sophomore here at CU Boulder. I graduated from Center High School, a small rural school in the San Luis Valley. I have one sister, Samantha, whom I love dearly and my mother, Zoraya, one of my biggest inspirations. I love to get outside to hike, bike, or run, and I enjoy the arts and singing. 

As a young Latina Woman, I have come to encounter acts of racial oppression and inequality among people. One of my biggest passions is rights, and as a Political Science and Communications major, I plan to use the skills I attain with these majors to better the world and our country by advocating, writing, and speaking on human rights. I feel our country is split down the middle and I hope that through my influence I can come to mend that gap. I guess you could say, "I have a dream."
