Industry/Career Night Preparation Event – 11/29, 4-6pm, SEEC 228

Workshop in preparation for February Career Night (2/7)

  • Learn about upcoming internship/scholarship opportunities (undergrads)

  • Review applications for internships/scholarships (many are due in early 2024)

  • Review CV/resume/applications for job/graduate school

  • Practice ‘elevator speeches’

  • Real-time editing of document

  • Preview of ATOC 4020-801 (where these and other skills are practiced in more depth)

  • ATOC faculty will be there to assist you with all of these1

 

ATOC 4020-801 Undergraduate Professional Development Seminar – Spring 2024

Mondays 4:05-4:55 pm in SEEC N126

This 1-credit seminar class is designed for ATOC’s current and future major and minor students.  The course includes:

  • overview of research, fellowship, and internship opportunities

  • building practical skills necessary for academic and professional life (e.g., CV/resume, critical conversations, time management)

  • career-building activities including panels with outside speakers and alumni from academia and industry
