Mikayla Rochelle

Mikayla joined the Office of Academic and Leaning Innovation in July 2024 as a community manager. With a background in strategic communication, event planning, and relationship management, Mikayla brings a unique blend of skills to foster meaningful connections and drive community engagement.

Prior to this role, Mikayla served as the Assistant Director of Recruitment for Ohio University's Scripps College of Communication, where she planned events, recruited students, and cultivated a sense of community. Mikayla also worked as a Communications Coordinator in the advancement department of the Sisters of Notre Dame, specializing in creative outreach and relationship management to engage diverse audiences.

Mikayla holds a Master of Public Administration from the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service at Ohio University, where she gained expertise in higher education and public sector leadership. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism - Strategic Communication from Ohio University, focusing on audience engagement, effective communication, and writing.
