Lauren is an Assistant Director in the Office of Academic and Learning Innovation at CU Boulder, where she joined in December 2025. She is interested in learner-centered program design that connects teaching and learning innovation with institutional strategy and policy goals. Lauren has over a decade of experience across higher education program leadership, academic policy, and teaching, including policy roles with the Scottish Funding Council and Universities Scotland, and as a lecturer at Heriot-Watt University and the University of Worcester.
Lauren holds a PhD in Glacial Geomorphology (University of Portsmouth), MSc in Glaciology, and BSc in Physical Geography (both Aberystwyth University). She also has a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys exploring Colorado through hiking, mountain biking, and skiing.
