With a passion for sustainable technology solutions, Dr. Michael Readey aims to encourage the next generation of engineering leaders to create innovative and socially responsible opportunities in clean energy, air and water for a rapidly growing world.

Dr. Readey’s experience in technology development, new venture creation and engineering management stems from a range of rewarding career endeavors, including:

  • President of MV Technologies, a Colorado company providing engineered systems that remove harmful contaminants from biogas, enabling the production of renewable energy and carbon-neutral transportation fuels;
  • President of Aeris Analytics, an environmental consulting company helping clients comply with complex air pollution regulations by providing advanced emissions technology systems; 
  • Caterpillar, where as Product Director he launched the Environmental Technologies division, which developed, engineered and manufactured emission control systems for Caterpillar’s global engine and machine business;
  • Carnegie Mellon University, as an Assistant Professor of Materials Science & Engineering with research interests in high-technology ceramic materials.

Dr. Readey received his BS and MS in Ceramic Engineering from Ohio State University, his Ph.D. in Materials Science from Case Western Reserve University, and Business Management Certificates from Northwestern University and Bradley University.  Throughout his career he has contributed over 42 publications, edited two books, obtained 4 patents, and has given over 250 presentations around the world in the areas of materials and process technology, emissions catalyst systems, and corporate sustainability.
