John Meister serves as the Director of Disability Services since January 2013. John joined the University of Colorado Boulder in 2009. John received his Bachelor of Science (BS) from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 1991. He earned a Master of Science (MS) from the University of North Texas in 2006 with a specialization in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. John currently holds a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the State of Colorado as well as the designation of Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counseling Certification (CRCC). John is the past Chairperson (2012-2013) of the Colorado and Wyoming Consortium of Support Programs for Students with Disabilities (The Consortium) and has served in various leadership roles since 2007. John is also a member of the Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) and serves as a consultant to several post-secondary schools in matters related to students, disability and equal access.
