Christopher Pacheco is the Director of the Office of Pre-College Outreach and Engagement. He is a first-generation college student from a family of ten children. He graduated from Battle Mountain High School in 1982, received his B.A. from CU Boulder in 1987 in Environmental Biology and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Education Policy. His professional career has been dedicated to providing access to higher education for first generation students and students from communities who are underrepresented in higher education. He began his professional career as the director of the Pre-Collegiate Development Program at the University of Colorado at Boulder campus from 1987 until 1999. He served as Associate Director for Academic Enrichment Programs in CU Boulder’s Student Academic Services Center from 1999 until 2008. As the director he supervises several pre-college outreach programs and is working to expand CU Boulder’s efforts to reach out to the surrounding communities in the Denver-metro area and across Colorado.
