Campus Climate

While numerical diversity serves as the foundation for diversity, interaction from different cultural backgrounds promotes an enriched understanding of other Americans as well as global citizens. Ultimately, these interactions aid in creating a welcoming and safe campus climate. ODECE encourages and supports inclusive programming that advances the campus's inclusive excellence goals.   

In order to reach these goals, the campus looks to various campus committees to lead in key areas of inclusion.  These groups include: the Chancellor Advisory Committees, the Boulder Faculty Assembly Diversity, the Diversity and Inclusion Summit Planning Committee, the Student Affairs Diversity Committee and many more. 

In addition, ODECE constantly seeks ways of improving the intercultural and cross-cultural dynamics among students, faculty and staff to promote human understanding and cooperation.  ODECE therefore routinely assesses the campus's progress through regularly scheduled Student, Faculty and Staff Social Climate Surveys.
