Yonatan Malin, Associate Professor of Music and Jewish Studies, published "Eastern Ashkenazi Biblical Cantillation: An Interpretive Musical Analysis" in Yuval, the online journal of the Jewish Music Research Centre at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He will be presenting current research on relations between music analysis and ethnography at the University of Oregon (in May) and the Fourth International Conference on Analytical Approaches to World Music (in June).
