The Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in STEM Education were established in 2009 to support faculty and graduate student engagement in innovative research on student learning and implementation of research-based STEM education programs and initiatives. $10,000 faculty awards and part-time (25%) graduate research fellowships of up to one academic year are available. Applications may propose support for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education projects in the early stages, for the coordination of existing projects, or to seed efforts that can continue beyond the funding period.
