Welcome to the Global Studies Residential Academic Program

In our ever shrinking world, those who are most knowledgeable about international issues will enjoy the greatest success. The Global Studies Residential Academic Program (G-RAP) promotes the recognition of global involvement by way of introducing 200 first-year students to the many cultures of the world, encouraging the study of foreign languages and international affairs, and emphasizing the value of international education.

This year-long program, housed in the east wing of the Cheyenne Arapaho residence hall on main campus, provides participants with a diverse peer group of 200 students with similar interests and goals, a committed staff knowledgeable about CU-Boulder's many international resources, and access to faculty who incorporate international work into their teaching and research. While the program is designed specifically for students whose majors have an international component, G-RAP enhances many of the majors offered at CU-Boulder, and is an excellent option for those who would like to be a part of a small, inclusive, and motivated community.

The Global Studies Residential Academic Program is open to all
first-year students who submit an application and are chosen to join. In addition, there are 25 spaces available for others who wish to apply including international students, second-year students, and students returning from study abroad. A non-refundable fee of $765 (subject to change) is charged for participation in G-RAP.
